The first semester of the course includes lessons that focus on planning for expenses and developing financial goals. Students learn to use algebraic expressions that model growth that’s due to interest. Students also describe investments in terms of their cost, risks, and returns. The second semester of the course includes lessons designed to teach students how businesses achieve profits through proper financial planning. Students will examine the benefits and consequences of using credit cards and taking out loans. Students also describe the procedures for filing taxes and identify taxes levied on various investments.

There are 6 units, 24 tutorials, 25 mastery tests, 7 course/unit activities and 6 post-tests in Financial Mathematics.

Pre-Algebra /product/pre-algebra/ Tue, 17 Sep 2019 17:57:54 +0000 http://launch.americanschoolofcorr.com/?post_type=product&p=11568 Math Accelerated: A Pre-Algebra Program, McGraw-Hill.]]> In this Pre-Algebra course, students will be introduced to numerous algebraic and geometric concepts that will help prepare for future courses such as Algebra I and Geometry. Additionally, many of the concepts can be utilized in a variety of professions like construction, music, scientific research, education, business, engineering, cooking, architecture, and medicine. Please note that students will need to show their work on the exams—even if computations are done on a calculator. If students use a calculator, it should have a square root key.

There are 12 exams in Pre-Algebra.

Precalculus (online) /product/precalculus-online/ Mon, 12 Aug 2019 19:17:01 +0000 http://launch.americanschoolofcorr.com/?post_type=product&p=11340
Precalculus builds on algebraic concepts to prepare students for calculus. The course begins with a review of basic algebraic concepts and moves into operations with functions, where students manipulate functions and their graphs. Precalculus also provides a detailed look at trigonometric functions, their graphs, the trigonometric identities, and the unit circle. Finally, students are introduced to polar coordinates, parametric equations, and limits. Precalculus has 7 units.
